Students from all over the world can take online courses to earn their Canadian High School Diploma. The online program is designed for students who are self-disciplined and enjoy working independently. Students will have the opportunity to engage in class discussions and interact with one another. Teachers are available to students on an appointment basis.

Keystone Online High School Frequently Asked Questions

Course materials are available online via our learning management system, Canvas.

There are no scheduled class sessions. You can log in and work on your course at any time.

Although the courses are designed to be completed at your own pace, students are expected to log in a minimum of 2 hours per week to ensure they are actively learning by contributing to discussion boards, reading instructor’s feedback, etc.

You can communicate with your teachers via the built-in message system. Teachers also have weekly virtual drop-in hours.

You have one year from the date of your enrolment into the course to complete it. Each class requires 110-hours of study, to be done at your own pace.

Keystone School is a fully accredited, Canadian private school, offering online courses for students in grades 9-12, All of our online courses follow the same curriculum as our campus programs.

As a Ministry-inspected school, all of our courses are guaranteed to meet the standards of the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Fees for online courses are charged depending on the program chosen.

Our Homeschool and Dual Diploma Program fees are charged annually and cover all administrative and course-related fees for an entire year of study. Fees are provided to students after an initial meeting when their study plan is determined.

Students wishing to only take one or two online courses with us can pay per course taken. Individual course fees can be found here. Some administrative fees will also apply depending on the student’s course of study.

Keystone School is fully accredited and Ministry-inspected, meaning that all courses meet curricular guidelines mandated by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Online classes are taken asynchronously, and can be completed at the student’s own pace, but with the added peace of mind that learning maintains a specific standard. Online students also achieve the same diploma (OSSD) awarded to in-person students and are able to apply to post-secondary institutions in the same way.

Keystone School also has its own Homeschool Program, designed for families seeking a flexible, high-quality, and globally recognized education. The program allows students to earn their diploma from anywhere in the world, while maintaining the academic standards required by the Ministry of Education. Our dedicated Academic Team will meet with you prior to your registration, as well as at various points throughout your education with us. They will ask questions about your interests, and modify your academic plan to ensure that you are taking the necessary courses and pre-requisites to meet your postsecondary goals. They are knowledgeable about postsecondary streams and programs, and will provide you with advice and guidance specific to your chosen career goals.
