Experience Learning Beyond the Classroom

Join us for the 2025 Summer School Program in the heart of Toronto, open for international students between the ages of 13-18. As part of the Keystone School Summer Program, students will receive an Ontario Education Number (OEN), officially registering them in the Ontario education system. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn an Ontario Secondary School credit toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Keystone School will provide an academic transcript recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education, listing their completed courses. This credit and transcript are valuable credentials for students pursuing further education in Canada or abroad.

Available Courses

At Keystone School’s Summer Program, students can choose between two engaging and enriching courses tailored to their interests and needs: University Preparation and Leadership Skills and Exploring Careers. Both options are designed to provide students with valuable skills and experiences that extend beyond the classroom, helping them grow academically, personally, and socially. Whether students want to explore potential career paths through hands-on learning and real-world experiences or strengthen their university applications while developing essential leadership skills, these courses offer something for everyone.

Pre-requisites: None

Minimum Required English Level: CEFR: B1, Duolingo: 50, IELTS: 4

Open to students with an academic focus and a desire to enhance their university applications, this course is designed to build critical skills for post-secondary success. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on activities, students will develop effective study habits, time management strategies, and leadership abilities. They’ll learn how to craft compelling personal statements, resumes, and applications that stand out in the competitive admissions process.

Students will also embark on immersive experiences in Toronto, visiting university campuses and engaging with professionals in various fields. These real-world interactions will deepen their understanding of academic pathways and career opportunities. With a focus on leadership development, students will participate in group projects, practice public speaking, and refine their ability to collaborate effectively, ensuring they are prepared for both academic and personal success.

Open to students with some level of English proficiency, this course goes beyond the traditional classroom setting. Through a blend of classroom instruction and real-world exploration, students will create their portfolios and present them. They’ll embark on educational adventures in Toronto, visiting museums and attractions, all while connecting the learning material to their experiences. This unique approach, known as experiential learning, ensures that knowledge is not just acquired but permanently understood.

Our experiential learning methodology ensures that students don’t just learn in the classroom; they apply their knowledge in the real world. For instance, in the Careers course, students will not only create portfolios but also explore potential career paths during school trips. They’ll interact with professionals, observe workplaces, and even conduct interviews, boosting their confidence and gaining valuable insights.
