The Perfect Prank…
After weeks of planning by our Student Council, students wrote the PLRT – Provincial Logic & Reasoning Test (otherwise known as the LSAT) for April Fool’s… before finding out it was all an elaborate ruse to lead them to our secret waffle party!

Keystone’s New Mural
Our whole-school mural is officially underway! As part of Keystone’s Artist-in-Residence program with Frannie Potts, students have been exploring how murals tell powerful stories about community and shared identity. Using rollers and large brushes, students are bringing the mural to life, one stroke at a time. We can’t wait to reveal the finished product in May!
Field Trips: Out and About
Students participated in a variety of activities this month, visiting the ROM, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, and filming locations across Toronto!
Touring the ROM
Our Grade 10 Science students visited the ROM’s “Climate History, Climate Hope” tour. Through hands-on exploration of artifacts and exhibits, they examined the history of climate change and current efforts to address the climate crisis.

Visiting the LAO
Our Civics and History classes came to life at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, when students had a chance to visit the legislative chamber, tour the legislative building and observe a legislative debate from the public gallery.
Experiencing Hollywood North
Grade 11 English students went on the Hollywood North Experience Tour to explore filming locations across Toronto, including sites from The Handmaid’s Tale, which they have been analyzing in class. They saw how real settings are transformed for film and gained insight into media techniques, adaptation, and the dystopian genre.

School Spirit!
April was full of events and activities to show off our school spirit.
Earth Day Action
We celebrated Earth Day on April 22, with our incredible Eco-Team rolling up their sleeves and taking action by leading the rest of the school in a neighbourhood cleanup!
Multicultural Monday
We started off Keystone Spirit Week with a world expo and cultural potluck at lunch. Students and staff brought amazing energy, outfits, food, and pride. Monday was all about celebrating the cultures that make our community so vibrant and unique!
Twin Tuesday
Twin Tuesday brought all the matching energy, from dynamic duos to full-on group looks, including our staff team rocking all beige and brown. See the rest of Spirit Week in our upcoming May Newsletter!
