Today we are lucky enough to have a special guest post by our very own Student Council President, Gabriella Mancini. See what she had to say about her time at Keystone so far down below…

Hi everyone – my name is Gabi Mancini, and I’m a grade 12 student and the Student Body President of Keystone School!

This is my first year at Keystone School and it’s been such a great experience. The highlight of the school year so far has definitely been the opportunity to get involved with extracurricular activities such as the Student Council, Yearbook Club, and Creative Club. In these clubs, I’m able to connect with my peers while making a positive difference in my school environment.

As the Student Body President, my responsibilities include: aiding in planning and organizing events, representing the student body, and advocating for things that could be improved! My favourite memory from the Student Council so far has been planning our Halloween event. We all got together and transformed the cafeteria into a haunted house with a bunch of spooky and exciting activities like pumpkin carving. Being able to chat with my teachers and peers while carving a silly pumpkin is definitely a memory that I will cherish. All the students had a lot of fun, and it was such a great and memorable day.

It’s so rewarding to not only be involved in my school, but also my community. Especially as a new student, joining Student Council has helped me connect with my classmates outside of class-time. I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to attend a school that provides us with such exciting opportunities!

Outside of school, I love to paint and read, which is why the Creative Club has been such a great outlet for me. I’m able to express my personal interests and passions with those around me in a fun environment.

Although it’s only my first year at Keystone, I feel like I’ve truly connected with everyone here, and I can thank my commitment to the Student Council for my transition into my last year of high school. I’m so excited to see what the rest of the year will bring.

Thanks for listening to my story!
