It’s been one month at our new campus in the Annex neighbourhood of Toronto!

This month we took field trips to:

  • Little Canada
  • The Banksy Exhibit
  • Toronto Island
  • The Toronto Public Library

In this month’s homeroom sessions, our students learned about Terry Fox and expressed the different ways they plan to give back to the community this year, heard from our student leaders about and celebrated Orange Shirt Day, and designed and presented our new GOOS (Good On One Side) reusable paper bins, that were created by our art classes to increase our environmental awareness and decrease our ecological footprint as a member of Ecoschools Canada.

Next month, we’re looking forward to focusing on mental health education, awareness and strategies in Grades 7-10 and university preparation, planning and touring in Grades 11-12.

We are also looking forward to:

  • starting the pickleball unit in our Phys. Ed. classes at RCYC (Royal Canadian Yacht Club)
  • our grade 12 Science class visiting Toronto Metropolitan University to participate in a chemistry lab
  • participating in the OurKids Expo at the end of October at Roy Thomson Hall
