Heart and Stroke Awareness Month

Cardio (Aerobic) exercise is beneficial for the cardiovascular system by improving circulation. Include regular cardiovascular exercise in your daily life to support the strengthening of your heart and blood vessels. Here are some of Keystone’s recommendations:

Jump Rope

Variations: Jumping on one foot, alternating feet, crossing the feet, jumping with high knees, double turning the rope.

Mountain Climbers

Variations: Alternate jumping each foot forward and back, 30-60 seconds each time.

Staircase runs

Variations: Skip two stairs at a time or alternate between running and jumping.

Ice Skating

Variations: skating backwards, doing a spin, and playing ice tag.

Valentine Theme Recipes

Peanut Butter Cheesecake Bites

Mix cream cheese, peanut butter, and sugar together in a bowl. Chill the mixture then mould into a heart shape. Finally, dip in melted white chocolate and add a decorative drizzle just for fun.

Stuffed Strawberries

Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and place into a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe into each strawberry and arrange on a serving platter.

Cupid Popcorn

Spread popcorn, broken pretzels, and M&Ms on a baking sheet. Pour melted candy melts over the popcorn mixture and sprinkle on sprinkles. Wait for the candy melts to harden and break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
