Summer School 2026: Earn Two Half-Credits in Four Weeks

Complete the Careers (GLC2O) and Civics (CHV2O) credits in a dynamic summer program at Keystone School in downtown Toronto.

Small classes • Hands-on learning • Real-world experiences

Program Dates: July 4 – August 1
Location: Keystone School, Toronto
Fees: $1,100.00 per 2 weeks, or $2,000.00 for the full program (4 weeks)

A Different Kind of Summer School

At Keystone, Careers and Civics are designed as immersive, real-world learning experiences.

Rather than treating these credits as standalone classroom requirements, students engage with them through discussion, project-based learning, and guided exploration that connects course concepts to everyday life.

With our downtown Toronto location as an extension of the classroom, students examine how careers, leadership, citizenship, and community operate in the world around them.

The result is a program where students not only earn the required credits, but also develop a deeper understanding of how their education connects to their future and their role in society.

Program Overview

Students complete two mandatory Ontario Secondary School Diploma courses:

  • Career Studies (GLC2O) – 0.5 credit
  • Civics and Citizenship (CHV2O) – 0.5 credit

Each course runs for two weeks, allowing students to complete both credits in just four weeks. The program combines academic instruction with collaborative projects and experiential learning activities.

Credit Options

Credit Dates Fees
Civics (CHV2O) Weeks 1–2: July 6 – July 17 $1,100.00

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Toronto becomes an extension of the classroom during the program.

Students participate in activities and excursions that bring course topics to life, such as exploring:

  • Toronto City Hall and civic institutions
  • Local businesses and entrepreneurship spaces
  • Community organizations
  • The University of Toronto campus and surrounding neighbourhoods

These experiences help students connect course concepts to real-world careers, leadership, and civic participation.
