What was your favourite subject in school? What did you study after high school?

Mathematics and English were two of my favourite subjects. I studied Mathematics and Business Administration at two different universities after high school and completed a Master’s Degree program in Education.

Were you an A+ student?

I was an A+ student in elementary school but I cannot say the same thing for high school. However, I was always very responsible and would submit my work on time.

If it were up to you, how would you measure academic success?

I would measure academic success by student involvement and dedication. You can never fail when you are dedicated to something and truly love what you do.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I never had a plan until almost after university. I volunteered to help at Keystone Istanbul almost 10 years ago and absolutely loved it. I was lucky to stay and become a teacher!

What is your favourite thing about teaching?

I believe young people have the most generous hearts and the most brilliant ideas. It is a blast to be around them everyday.

In which other teacher’s class would you like to enroll, even for a day? Why?

Mr. B’s class so maybe I could improve my art skills a little bit. And, painting the school’s walls sounds like fun!
