Our Approach
How Keystone Students Learn
We believe students learn best when they are curious, involved and known. From Grade 6 to Grade 12, four ideas shape every classroom at Keystone.
Inquiry-based learning
Learning starts with questions. Students investigate topics they care about, and teachers guide them to dig deeper, think critically and explain what they discover.
Learning by doing
Projects, presentations and hands-on work turn ideas into real skills. Steps from the University of Toronto, our students use the city as a classroom: labs, museums, galleries and guest speakers.
Every student is known
With an average class size of 14, teachers know how each student learns. Academic coordinators and mentors follow every student’s progress and well-being.
A global outlook
Students from more than 20 countries learn side by side. As an IB World School, we build international-mindedness, respect for different perspectives and the confidence to contribute to the world.
The Learning Journey
From Grade 6 to University
Each stage builds on the last, so students grow in confidence, independence and skill.

Students build strong foundations in English, math, science, French and the arts, and learn to take charge of their own learning through inquiry and projects.
