Asynchronous learning is a student-centered teaching method widely used in online learning. It's designed for students who are self-disciplined and like working independently. Students will have the opportunity to engage in class discussions and interact with one another. Teachers are available to students on an appointment basis.

Synchronous learning essentially is the same as on-campus learning hence is called "Virtual Campus". Classes are conducted live via video conference. Part of the video conference with live teachers consist of live instruction and the rest may be independent or collaborative working period while continuing to have full access to teachers.
There are 30 credits to be completed during the 4 years of high school. Out of the 30 credits, 18 are compulsory and 12 and elective credits. When a student transfers into Keystone International Schools, all credits from previous schools will be assessed as per their transcript. Credits will be transferred on a case by case basis.
The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) is a compulsory standardized test for secondary school students. The OSSLT is written every year in March or April throughout the province. All students take this proctored exam at their location in designated schools or institutions.
Every student must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities. The purpose of the community involvement is to encourage students to develop awareness and understanding of civic responsibility and of the role they can play and the contributions they can make in supporting and strengthening their communities.
